My inspiration was the juxtaposition of the hard straight dark lines mixed with soft creamy curves and circles. The room isn't overly feminine but has the right amount of edgy ethnic soul.  Like the pensive expression of the Michel Boyd Smith artwork against the playful Casini Aura sitting ball. It's harmonious and unexpected.

This design is for a married couple where the hubby requested an industrial cultured library and the wife requested a white, calming and feminine sitting room.  Therefore the Library/Sitting Room represents the marriage of opposites finding a beautiful gender-neutral balance.

The oversized fireplace.  It's grand, romantic and an impressive statement piece are my favorite parts of this design

I would love for the audience to capture my homage to the great architect Oscar Niemeyer, while staying true to my clients request. Oscar loved sensual curves reminiscent of a woman's body. This is conveyed throughout the room: like the arches of the built-ins, the arched glass door(s), the curves of the sofa, and even down to the Regina Andrew Dex Infinity industrial sculpture in the bookcase. Every detail has the client's personality in mind!
