“ This design is for a family that moved from California to New York. In California, they had a mid century modern home with lots of natural elements inside and out. With this house being more formal, they wanted to bring that more laid back vibe to their backyard.
I wanted to soften the structured lines of the existing house and flagstone patio, we brought in plenty of wood, concrete and plantscape.
My favorite thing about this design is the Ipe wood which is so durable and feels so natural and warm.”
