“My client is a former professional baseball player and his wife. They are empty-nesters looking to settle down and enjoy retirement and grandchildren. The design for this kitchen started with two things: inspiration from a kitchen designed by Nate Berkus and my clients’ love for soapstone. We framed the range with black windows and then ran the soapstone up the backsplash on all perimeter cabinets for a dramatic effect. The hood is my favorite part of the design with the curves and corbels.”
