"Our San Francisco-based client was looking to create a kitchen that was NOT white, but felt both classic and current.  She fell in love with the Calacatta Borghini slabs and we worked the rest of the space around showcasing them.  The rift sawn white oak cabinetry provided just enough contrast to the marble to make the space interesting without feeling too heavy.  This kitchen is tucked in the corner of a larger great room with exceptionally high ceilings.  We wanted to preserve the scale of the room and as such, decided to forego light fixtures above the island. We embraced natural and neutral tones throughout.  The kitchen stools were the perfect finishing touch to ground the entire space."
