Catasha Singleton
About her…
Catasha is the Founder and Lead Interior Designer of ModChic Interiors.
She had many jobs before starting her wonderful firm. After completing her undergraduate studies in Business Marketing at Texas Southern University, Catasha worked 8 years in corporate America as a Human Resources Research Advisor and Manager at Gartner in Washington, D.C.
After that, she would finish her MBA in Health Care Administration from Benedictine University in an effort to help manage and run medical practices.
While that task was short-lived, Catasha was able to successfully start-up and run a cosmetic and medical spa practice in Downtown Houston.
At a certain point she found herself not truly living in her purpose and passion – which was interiors. Interior styling and decorating were hobbies that begin to consume her in such a way that she completed relevant courses earning two certifications as a Home Stager and an Interior Design Professional from The Home Academy of Home Staging, New York.
Catasha is a living example of “taking a leap of faith” as she now is in her 2nd year of business full-time as an Interior Designer in Houston. Catasha takes pride in understanding her client's needs and what it takes to bring their vision to life, creating functional (residential) and operable (boutique commercial) interiors.
Style
“I would describe my style as modern energy.
I ask a lot of questions to my clients in order to get a feel of their energy and their vibe.
My natural aesthetic is clean, simple luxury but I try to make it warm and welcoming.”
What Makes Her Unique?
“I have this unconventional approach to doing things. Whatever I've done up to this point in Interior Design, I wasn't taught.
So It's being able to bring all of my random experiences to the forefront and embed them in some kind of way to the client's experience.
The best thing is just to be yourself. I think people like genuine people. Even if you have a similar design as someone else, your personality or who you are is likely going to be why they choose you"
